Green Braking

A greener product or process is most generally identified for a number of reasons. Such is the case with ProTec brake system products. How long a product last is one element of green. A new ProTec brake system that lasts more than twice as long as a conventional setup lowers the carbon footprint by saving the energy to process used rotors, make new ones in a high energy consumption foundry, transport them to the installation location and operating the facility for installation. The brake pads are made without the need for the long high energy consumption baking process required to cure the thermosetting resins in conventional pads. Additionally, neither the pads or rotors contain lead or copper, both having been identified as hazardous materials often deposited in landfills.
