As recommended by the OEM Eaton, all of our bearings utilize the C3 clearance specification (measures between the rolling elements and the raceway), providing for optimal expansion due to heat or improper alignment, thus ensuring maximum durability and peak performance. Each bearing meets or exceeds OEM requirements, including the latest industry standards for high temperature shields and grease. In order to properly match the bearing to the vehicle, We offers Nitrile sealed, Viton ® sealed or steel shielded.
NITRILE SEALED: Nitrile “rubber” sealed bearings provide excellent resistance to petroleum products and external contamination. As a lower cost option, Nitrile has been the industry’s most widely used elastomer seal.
VITON ® SEALED: Viton ® sealed bearings also provide the same benefits as the nitrile alternative, but they also offer improved resistance to the increased temperatures generated by today’s high torque engines!
STEEL SHIELDED: Steel shielded bearings offer a less expensive alternative t Nitrile and Viton ®. They differ from both in that their primary purpose is to shield the bearing interior, offering less sealing efficiency. However, because the steel shields are not designed as seals, they create less friction and lower operating temperatures.
